Banned Books Week ends

and I read nearly all the books I had planned. Couldn’t quite squeeze in that 8th book to review for today, but there are plenty of other sites out there, and I won’t stop reading and posting about banned books just because the celebration is over.

The lesson of all this hullabaloo across the webiverse: don’t let anyone tell you what you can and cannot, or should and should not read. Books are out there, tiny countries, waiting to be explored.

Now it’s time for me to get back to Proust, find out what’s happened to M. and Mme. Swann, little Gilberte, and our narrator, Marcel.

In the meantime, I’ve also rekindled my relationship with the local libe, checking out 6 or so YA books per week. Some look promising. If any stand out, you’ll read about them here.
